Every trip is different. Wind, wave, weather, and marine life
offer a wonderful variety throughout the year. We typically sail through
Santa Rosa Sound, past the undeveloped shores of the Gulf Island
National Seashore, and out into Pensacola Bay. While we can't guarantee
that things are always like this, generally speaking you are most likely
to find the following characteristics depending on the time of day:
If you charter the whole boat (six passenger maximum), we can tailor the itinerary to whatever you want (wind and weather permitting). However, here are some standard trips that we have found work well: 1/2 Day afternoon charter (typically 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM): A longer sail out towards Fort Pickens is possible on a normal day with a good sea breeze. We coast along the undeveloped shore of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, sailing past the pristine sand beaches of Santa Rosa Island. Full day charter (9:00 AM until 5:00 PM): Bring a picnic lunch and make a day of it. The morning starts with a sail to Perdido Key, where we anchor for lunch. Adventurers can swim ashore and explore the ruins of Fort McRae. The sail back is usually a nice relaxing broad reach. |
